Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald known widely as F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940) was the undisputed laureate of the Jazz Age, capturing the glittering excess, restless energy, and underlying disillusionment of the Roaring Twenties. With his wife, Zelda, he lived at the center of the era's glamorous whirlwind, becoming a celebrity as much for his extravagant lifestyle as for his writing.
