Metropolitan of Mount Lebanon, theologian, and luminous writer (born 1923). George Khodr is the spiritual heartbeat of the Antiochian Orthodox Church and a visionary who reshaped the landscape of Arab Christianity. Growing up in the coastal city of Tripoli, Lebanon, he witnessed the intersection of diverse faiths, a reality that forged his lifelong commitment to Christian-Muslim dialogue and a theology rooted in the "Other."

He ignited a spiritual awakening as a founder of the Orthodox Youth Movement (MJO), pulling the Church toward a radical return to the Gospel and the inner life.
