Politique de confidentialité

1. Introduction

Welcome to MyInteractiveBook ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our e-book platform services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Create a reader or publisher account (name, email address, password)
  • Register as a publisher (company name, website, contact details)
  • Subscribe to a paid plan (billing information processed by our payment provider)
  • Contact us through our contact form (name, email address, message content)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you access our platform, we may automatically collect: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring website addresses.

2.3 AI Interaction Data

When you use our AI-powered features, we collect your queries and the AI-generated responses. AI queries are processed through Google's Gemini API. We do not use your queries to train AI models.

2.4 Cookies and Local Storage

Essential cookies and local storage support sign-in, security, protected book access, and preferences you select, such as theme and language. These remain active when you reject optional analytics. Protected book access uses a first-party device identifier (drm_device_uid) stored in your browser and in a cookie for up to 400 days. Local preferences remain until you change them or clear browser storage.

With your consent, we load Google Analytics 4 and collect first-party reading and page-visit analytics. These may include pages and chapters visited, reading duration, progress milestones, device information and interactions with reading tools. Google Analytics may store cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. Their default lifetime can be up to two years. Signed-in analytics can be associated with your account; Google Analytics receives a hashed account identifier. Hashing does not make that identifier anonymous. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled by our integration.

Optional analytics remains off until you accept it. Rejecting it does not prevent you from using the site. We store your choice in the essential first-party mib_consent cookie for 180 days, then ask again. The main website and blog share this preference, so you do not need to choose separately on each site. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer, the book reader's chapter menu, or the EPUB reader's settings panel. Other pages without these controls provide a settings button. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and the optional analytics device identifier from this browser, and reloads the page. It does not automatically erase information previously collected.

Google processes analytics information under its privacy policy. This may involve processing outside your country. Contact us to ask about stored analytics data or request deletion.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our platform services, manage your account, process subscriptions, deliver AI-powered features, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with AI service providers (Google Gemini API), payment processors, Google Analytics when you consent to analytics, and as required by law.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including secure password hashing (bcrypt), encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), and secure session management.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
