What the Apps Add
The mobile app (Android and iOS) and the desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux) use the same account as the website. Anything you buy, save, or read stays in step across all three.
Getting the Apps
- Mobile — Install from the app store. Version and availability are checked against the platform automatically.
- Desktop — Download the installer from the Downloads page, which detects your operating system.
Signing In
Both apps hand you over to your browser to sign in, then return to the app. Your email must be verified first. If the app seems not to log in, complete the sign-in in the browser, then switch back.
Inside the Mobile App
Five areas: Catalogue, My Books, Bookmarks, My Stories, and More, which holds authors, the Cosmos of Letters, the 3D library, word arena, settings, and sign-out. Reading settings, themes, margins, and text-to-speech mode are all carried over from the web reader.
Offline in the App
Books you download are stored encrypted on the device. Bookmark and highlight changes made while offline are queued and sent when you reconnect.
Notifications
The app can notify you about replies, follows, milestones, and announcements. Turn each type on or off in Settings.
Signing In Securely
You may be asked to confirm with your fingerprint or face; this unlocks the app without retyping your password.
Inside the Desktop App
An offline library that syncs with your account, both reading engines, and your downloads. Close the app while reading and it resumes at the same passage.
